May is here! Along with that, the sunshine feels warmer, the birds sound happier, and the days just feel brighter! This time of year is just wonderful! Hope you are enjoying it as well!!!
So, April feels like it came and went. In a hurry! Classic Impressions saw a bit of a change in staff in April. Keeleigh Chamberlin is now on maternity leave and is patiently awaiting the arrival of a baby girl! She will join us again for the month of December and then come back to her regular part time hours in 2019. We wish her well! (Side note – BIG excitement for me as I am the Nana to this new baby coming! Baby snuggles are THE BEST!) We, as the staff of Classic Impressions, are so proud of our new stylist Anja!!! Anja attended the hair skills competition in Winnipeg in April. This required her to come up with a color and style option for her mannequin. Out of 11 competitors, SHE PLACED FIRST and brought home the gold medal! She will now be heading to Edmonton to compete in the national skills competition the weekend of June 2. Good Luck, Anja! The Classic girls are so proud of you and cheer you on from home! ************************************************************************************** May product sales are great! We will be featuring $5 off of each of the following products:Curls Hairspray, Theory Firm Hairspray, Jump Volume MousseYou don’t want to miss your chance to stock up on this super deal! ************************************************************************************* Stylist Product Pick and Tip from Tressa: “My go-to products for styling curly hair are the Surface Curls Smoothing Cream and Surface Curls Firm Styling Mousse. The mousse provides a firm but flexible hold and offers protection against humidity. The smoothing cream helps to control frizz and moisturizes. The main ingredients are cocoa butter and babassu oil. Cocoa butter, being rich in vitamin K provides the hair with healthy elasticity and control. While babassu oil penetrates the hair with weightless moisture. Apply these two products to damp hair, from root to end, and dry with a diffuser for the best results.” Tip: “For added hold and curl while diffusing your hair, use the ‘cold shot’ button on your blowdryer. The initial heat from the blowdryer helps to create the shape and style while finishing with a shot of cold air will help to give your curls added hold and bring longevity to the look. Start using the cool air once your hair is approximately 80% dry. Finish off with Curls Finishing Spray. It provides flexible hold, shine and humidity resistance; this step is a must!” *************************************************************************************** I encourage you all to follow us on our social media pages. Some contests, deals, appointment openings may be posted on there from time to time. It’s a wonderful way to stay connected, see the work the girls have been doing and be up to date on the happenings at the salon. After all, we are friends and want you to know about us and how we are doing😊 and we’d love to hear how you are doing! So, enjoy the month of May, my friends! The outdoors, weiner roasts, sitting around the fire with company, the sunshine on your face and all the things we have been waiting for! With much love, Connie for Classic Impressions Salon
